 So, what is the difference between indoor antennas and outdoor antennas?

An antenna system is a system composed of transmitting antennas and receiving antennas. The former is a transmission mode converter that converts radio frequency current or electromagnetic waves in guided wave mode into spatial electromagnetic waves in diffusion wave mode; the latter is a transmission mode converter for its inverse transformation. There is no difference in the working principle, both of which receive or transmit radio signals.

From the perspective of reception, when the signal is too weak to penetrate the wall, the antenna must be installed outdoors to facilitate signal reception, and then the signal is sent indoors using a feeder. From the perspective of transmission, outdoor antennas can be made higher tfacilitate wider signal coverage, and of course, they also require greater power.

Outdoor antennas are generally fixed to the pole by a clamp, or installed on the outer wall of a building by a bracket. Indoor antennas are usually installed on the ceiling, and sometimes they are installed at a higher position on the wall to facilitate signal transmission.
